York works with Speed Secrets clients at Putnam Park pre-season test
Recently Kevin York worked with two Speed Secrets clients during what was a very successful 2-day test at Putnam Park.
The drivers were karting and
Skip Barber graduate, Benjamin Searcy and young Canadian Ontario Formula Ford 1600 talent, Caitlin Johnston.
Searcy and Johnston are signed with
ZSports Midwest
to run the highly competitive 2009 Formula 2000 Championship Series in the team's Van Diemen RF02s
Both drivers quickly came to terms with the cars
and the track, and showed their ability to work with Speed Secrets
driver coach, Kevin York and the team.
"These cars are awesome," young Searcy said. "The power and handling is
better than anything I've driven, and the reliability of the car
allowed me to get in two full days of trouble free laps. I'd like to
thank the team for providing me the opportunity to test. We had a ball
and look forward to the entire 2009 season."
As for Caitlin, Ron Boltik (Owner/Partner of ZSports Midwest) had this to say: "We knew from the first session [at Mosport last year] (that) Caitlin was the real deal."
The F2000 Championship Series'
first round takes place April 9-11 at VIRginia International Raceway
